***From the Locker Room to the Board Room***

Marcus Wilkins, a former NFL linebacker, who played for the Packers, Bengals, and Falcons, will be presenting on his continuing journey as a professional in the NFL, transitioning from the Locker Room to the Board Room.

Marcus will share interesting facts about the business of sports and how he applies his skills, developed on the football field, to the demands needed to win off the field.  Marcus has focused on how to maximize the inevitability of change while maintaining positive discipline that will make any professional more successful and productive.

Marcus grew up in Austin and attended the University of Texas where he majored in Communications and Business.  Since retiring from the NFL after a six year career, and moving to Houston, Marcus has spent time as an entrepreneur and Director of Sales for the Greater Houston Partnership and Atec, Inc., an aerospace manufacturing defense contractor.  Marcus volunteers his time serving as the VP of the Greater Houston Manufacturers Association (GHMA) where he strives to help improve the business opportunities for small to mid-size manufacturing companies in the greater Houston area.
